Family Members:

Diane was born on May 11th, 1942 in Flint, Michigan. She was the only child of Lena and Albert Nadell. She spent her summers at Camp Ramah in Wisconsin, where she made lifelong friends and immersed herself in Jewish life & values. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Social Work and went on to earn a Masters in Public Health. Diane dedicated her life to helping others as a social worker and healthcare professional, often working with underserved populations such as women and AIDs patients. She later had an active career in geriatrics where she provided services to aging adults and their families.

Above all, Diane will be remembered for her deep warmth and beautiful smile that brought her friends everywhere she went. She loved volunteering at Yad Ezra and hosting Shabbat dinners, Passover Seders and holidays for her family and friends. Those who knew her would describe her as their personal cheerleader because of the support she provided to everyone she loved. She was an avid traveler and valued family, Judaism and education above all else.

Diane was the beloved wife of Al Sasson. Dear mother of Rachel (Dr. Marc) Dorfman, Michael David Sasson and Miriam Ruth Sasson. Loving grandmother of Alex (fiance' Josh Aaronson) Dorfman, Benjamin (Eleanor) Dorfman, Samuel Dorfman, Joe (fiancee' Maryna Syb) Sasson, Max Sasson, Jonisha Cross and Sequari Cross. Mother-in-law of Ellen Sasson. Also survived by many other loving family members and friends.
