Family Members:
David M. Midelton, born on May 6, 1945, passed away on August 19, 2026 at the age of 81. He was born in Atlantic City, while his father (Herbert) was overseas during World War II. He grew up in Ventnor and lived there his entire life, attending the Ventnor school system and Atlantic City High School.

A few years after graduating from Philadelphia College of Textiles and Sciences, he met his wife Diane and built a life and family together for 57 years. They had three children – Gary, Minnie, and Rob. David followed his father’s footsteps into the custom home and condominium building business, where he had a long and successful career. He was extremely dedicated to his work and his family. As his family grew, David enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, including countless trips to the beach and daily bike-riding on the boardwalk, his happiest of places.

Later in life, David found tremendous enjoyment overseeing the Alan H. Midelton Scholarship foundation, which he helped establish in 2010 with his parents, in memory of his brother who tragically passed away at the age of 3. It is believed to be the largest scholarship for college-bound Atlantic City High School graduates, based on academic excellence and financial need. David loved interacting with such young, bright and ambitious students, and never missed an opportunity to offer his perspectives on various career paths.

David was preceded in death by his previously mentioned brother Alan, and parents Mildred and Herbert. He is survived by his wife Diane; brother Stanley; sons Gary (Marta) and Robert (Lauren), and daughter Minnie (Andrew) Kalan; grandchildren Ryan, Justin and Ashley Kalan, Claudia Luto, and Nathan, Melanie, Brayden and Ethan Midelton. He will be dearly missed.
