Family Members:
The incredible, wonderful, caring Adrienne Guss passed away June 20, 2026 at the age of 86. Born in Detroit in 1939, Adrienne was the second of three children born to Harry and Jessie Goldberg. After graduating from Wayne State University, she launched her 40-year career as a teacher in Detroit and Southfield, finally retiring in 2004. Her kind, caring spirit shone brightly to illuminate the lives of the thousand of students that came through her classroom. A past president of B’nai Brith and a lifelong lover of books, she spent her life after retirement supporting Jewish causes, knitting and generally making the world a better place to be. A devoted wife of 38 years, she cared for, loved and supported her beloved husband, Sandy Guss. She was preceded in death by her sister Millicent and her brother Lawrence (Cathrine), and is survived by her loving husband Sandy, sons Marvin (Laura), Jeff (Kristen), and Howard, nephew David Goldberg (Lisa) and grandniece Ava Goldberg.
