Family Members:
Danielle Erin Fraser passed away peacefully at her home in West Bloomfield, Michigan on Tuesday, May 19th at the age of 54. She is survived by her precious son Lawson Fraser, beloved long-time life partner Michael Steinberg, mother Helaine Tarnopol-Wolf and father Robert Tarnopol, sister Andrea (Brian) Klerkx and daughter Courtney (Sam) Yarsike, sister Susan Wolf Ditkoff (Joseph) and children Michal, Zachary, and Elijah, along with too many beloved fur babies to name them all. She is pre-deceased by her husband Lawrence Fraser and her step-father Robert Wolf.

Dani was a deeply spiritual woman who loved animals, live music, nature, creating art and selling her incredible jewelry, and building community and relationships with everyone she met. She overcame learning disabilities and other challenges to graduate from Antioch College in the 1990s, and she went on to complete a master degree in Environmental Education. She was a Certified Addictions Counselor and worked for many years with incarcerated women and in outpatient clinics. Dani had nearly completed a second master degree in Animal Behavior. Most recently, she worked as a talented counselor and trainer of skilled therapy dogs.

While she was a naturally shy and private person, she became an instant friend and highly empathetic confidant to every person she met, from every walk of life and life experience. Dani's smile and infectious laugh brightened every room she entered, and the world is that much dimmer without her. In lieu of flowers, please spread a little light in the world where you can, and contribute to any animal-related charity or cause in her memory.
