Seymour Ross (nee Rabotnick), age 95, passed away peacefully on Monday. Seymour was comforted with love from his family. He is predeceased by the love of his life for nearly 50 years, Mary z’l, his parents Samuel and Fanny Rabotnick, and his brother Saul Reubin. Seymour is survived by his daughter Julie Oppenheimer-Ross (Howard) and his son Dr. Sanford Ross (Sarah). His greatest joy was his grandchildren Dr. Danielle Ross (Chris Grandy), Jackson Ross, Andrew Ross, Leah Oppenheimer, and Sari Oppenheimer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews dear to him. Seymour was a successful small business owner. His dream was to own a retail store, which he did with Mary. They worked side by side for two decades. Seymour loved reading mysteries, eating a good corned beef sandwich, and watching sports. He was a devoted Detroit Tigers and Lions fan. “Did you catch the game?” was always one of his first questions. Seymour was a proud veteran, stationed in Europe during The Korean Conflict. He treasured his memories of fun and adventures with his lifelong friends and often reminisced about those years. Seymour will be missed by his family.
