Family Members:
Raymond Arthur Spaulding, 76, of Novi, MI, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025 after battling Parkinson’s Disease for over 15 years. He was determined to not let this disease win, and was surrounded by loved ones until the very end.

Ray was born on April 12, 1949 in Detroit, MI to Virginia Fuller and James Spaulding. He grew up in Bloomfield Hills and graduated from Oakland University.

In 1975, Ray married Shelley Raminick and together they shared 50 wonderful years, a milestone that they were blessed to celebrate together this past August. Ray loved all things sports; coaching Little League Baseball, coaching youth hockey at the Southfield Hockey Club, watching his favorite Detroit teams on TV, being a 25+ year season ticket holder for the Plymouth Whalers franchise, and most importantly, watching his kids and grandkids on the ice and the field.

Ray is survived by his wife Shelley and daughters Kimberly (Doug Chenoweth) and Kourtney (Cory Duchesneau), as well his 7 beloved grandchildren Arya, Grant, Drew, Rex, Elle, Bo, and Bennett and his sister Raceine. Also survived by his former son-in-law, Justin Shaw. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Roger.

The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Addington Place of Northville for the excellent care he received for the last 22 months. Ray will be missed by all that knew him, may his memory be a blessing.
