Family Members:

Clara Fischhoff Gordon, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and admirer of all things fine — from literature to music to art — died peacefully on September 28, 2025, at the age of 92.

A proud Detroiter and graduate of The University of Michigan, Clara's love of learning filled her home with books, art, and spirited conversation. She was the quintessential entertainer and took pride in celebrating all occasions in her home —especially Thanksgiving, which coincided with her birthday.

Clara shared 70 years of marriage with her husband, Harvey. She is survived by him and their four children — Brenda (Mark Herrmann), Steven (Anne Williams), David (Stacy), and Sara (Larry Kaskel). She is "Buddy" to nine grandchildren—Jessica, Jeremy, Zoe, Hannah, Nora, Samantha, Jacob, Lucy, and Albert, and to eight great-grandchildren — Aiden, Cole, Elizabeth, Evie, Penelope, Violet, William and Wren.

She was predeceased by her parents, Dora and Rubin Fischhoff, and her sister, Connie Drescher.

She will be remembered for her impeccable taste, strong opinions, and generosity. Clara's legacy lives on in the family she cherished and enriched.
