Baker Abbott Urdan, a resident of Charlevoix, Michigan, died on August 4th, 2025 at the age of 93. Funeral services arranged by The Dorfman Chapel.

Family Members:

Baker owned Sambak Stables in Detroit with his cousin, Sam Urdan from 1961 until the 1970's. He then partnered with Pat Crowe in the early 1980's until 1998, Canada's all time winning drive trainer in Harness Racing. He also worked at WKBD as an account executive for over 30 years, managing accounts for the Detroit Pistons, Tigers, Red Wings, Lions and Belle Tire.

Beloved husband of Barbara Urdan and the late Judith M. Urdan. Dear father of Matthew S. Urdan, Paul D. Urdan, Douglas M. Urdan, Bubba Bradley J. Urdan (Nicole Miller), Dr. David Katz, Felicia Radin, Kathy Katz and Dale Katz (Stephanie). Loving grandfather of Brayden, Kendall, Kyle, Max, Isabella, Erica, Alysa, Tyler, Justin, Cameron, Amelia, Connor, Grace and the late Andrew. Also survived by his devoted cousins, Lowell Louis (Gaye), Shelley and Lacey Sadoff, Jolie Urdan and many other loving family members and friends.
