Family Members:
She is survived by her partner and companion for 21 years, Michael Germansky. Dear mother of Ryan Mandell and Nick (Mara) Guttman. Loving grandmother of Libby Mandell, Mattie Mandell, Callie Mandell and Henry Mandell. Sister of Jayne (Larry) Steel and Jackie (Larry) Kraft. Also survived by many other loving family members and friends.

Born in Miami Beach, Florida, Michele was a fiercely loyal and protective presence in the lives of those she loved. She was known for her guiding wisdom, advice and what she proudly called her "street smarts." Her love, strength, and unwavering sense of morality shaped the lives of her friends and family in countless meaningful ways. Michele taught her sons, Nick and Ryan, to live by her three C's: courage, conscience, and character. These words, and the example she set, will stay with them always and they will continue to make her proud.

Michele graduated from Wayne State University and began teaching elementary school, but soon realized her true calling lay elsewhere. Cosmetology became her new passion. She excelled in a world of beauty, confidence, and human connection. Her talent and leadership were quickly recognized by colleagues and she became a business partner at Style the Salon in West Bloomfield. Michele had a rare gift: not just for hair, but for making people feel good about themselves. Her clients often became lifelong friends, drawn to her warmth, humor, and radiant energy.

At age 19, Michele began to investigate unusual muscle cramping and fatigue symptoms. Her dedication and commitment led to a new diagnosis of a rare muscle disease called CPT-II deficiency. Michele's relentless pursuit of answers provided new information for medical providers to help treat other patients. It also gave her the freedom to participate in sports. Outside of work, Michele loved watching sports and was an avid tennis player, often enjoying matches at Sports Club with friends.

Michele loved deeply and cared with her whole heart. Her family was her world. Her beautiful smile, her laughter, and her unwavering presence will be profoundly missed. She leaves behind a legacy of resilience, joy, and love — a legacy that will live on in all who knew her.
