Family Members:

Judith Ann Garbeil grew up in Newark, New Jersey where she met her high school sweetheart, Sidney. They were married in June of 1961 after Judith graduated college and Sidney returned from medic training in the National Guard. They moved a few times due to Sidney’s career, and had 2 children, Steven and Elisabeth along the way. They finally ended up in West Bloomfield, Michigan in 1982. Judith taught in the West Bloomfield School system until 2018. She very much enjoyed being a substitute teacher and loved working with elementary school children. She retired after COVID and enjoyed being with her family. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Sidney, her 2 children, Steven and Elisabeth, her brother, Richard and 3 grandchildren, Isabella, Lionel and Ben.
