Family: Marshall is survived by his wife Laurie (Burry) Blondy; his sister Gloria Blondy; children, Susan Fine, Mark Blondy, Elizabeth (Pat Deegan) Blondy, Brian (Shirley) Blondy, Benjamin Blondy, and daughter-in-law Mary (Baumunk) Blondy; grandchildren Joel Blondy, Rachael Blondy, Julia Fine, Aaron Fine, David Fine, Aviv Blondy, Leo Blondy, and Zoe Blondy; great grandchildren Elliott Berdelle, Margot Berdelle, and Cora Blondy. He was predeceased in death by his parents, his brother Robert, his brother Leonard, his sister Cynthia, and his son Steven, as well as his beloved aunt Marian Ugoretz, and uncle Joe Stone.
Education & Career: Marshall attended the University of Michigan for his undergraduate education and Wayne State University for his graduate education as a medical doctor. Following graduation, he completed his residency at Detroit Receiving Hospital, specializing in pediatrics. After residency, Marshall worked for most of his career at Metropolitan Associates in Pediatrics until it closed in 2002. This was one of the largest pediatric clinics in southeast Michigan, and Marshall provided care for thousands of families. After Metropolitan Associates in Pediatrics closed in 2002, he worked for Southfield Pediatrics, where he continued to provide loving, competent pediatric care to many families for several years. In 2004, Marshall was honored by the Michigan chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics as the Pediatrician of the Year, an award he was extremely proud of. Additionally, in his early career, Marshall was instrumental in working with the Michigan Academy of Pediatrics in lobbying for the required use of child safety seats in automobiles.
Hobbies: Marshall was an avid sports fan, enjoying all sports, and especially Michigan basketball. He was also an avid reader, enjoying anything from true crime, to biographies, to historical fiction. Marshall also loved to follow the sun, taking vacations to anywhere warm and sunny. His favorite vacation was to go to Longboat Key Resort, in Longboat Key, Florida with his family.
