Bette Rose, a resident of East Lansing, Michigan, died on August 8th, 2024 at the age of 74. Funeral services arranged by The Dorfman Chapel.

Bette was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, alongside her sister, Judy (Chuck Domstein) Domstein. She was the treasured daughter of the late Esther and Aaron Hyman. Bette's early life in Detroit was filled with love, laughter, and a strong sense of family, which she carried with her throughout her life.
Bette dedicated many years to teaching at Waterford Mott High School, where she touched the lives of countless students with her passion for education and nurturing spirit. Her love for learning and teaching left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of being her students.
She was first married to Elliott Ross, with whom she had two wonderful children, Eric (Jennifer) Ross and Jennifer (Greg Acker) Ross. Her children were her pride and joy, and she adored her three grandchildren and three granddogs, finding immense happiness in watching them grow and thrive. After her marriage to Elliott, Bette found love again with Ronald Rose. The two shared many happy years together until Ronald's passing.
In addition to her family and career, Bette had a zest for life that was evident in her many interests and activities. She loved to travel, craft, bake, and garden, finding joy and peace in each of these pursuits. Her baked goods and plants were a testament to her talent and love, often shared with friends and family.
Bette was also dedicated to giving Bette's memory will forever be cherish back to her community. She volunteered at numerous organizations, including the Zekelman Holocaust Center and Friendship Circle, among many others. Her volunteer work was a testament to her generous spirit and her commitment to making the world a better place.
