Garry married the love of his life, Evelyn, in 1965 and spent their life together residing in Detroit, Saratoga, San Diego and finally Los Angeles to be closer to their immediate family. Garry loved playing golf, traveling, attending concerts, playing poker and watching sporting events. Garry cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and enjoyed watching their sports games, attending music and dance performances, swimming, hiking, mini-golf and having family meals. Garry spent his career in the computer industry, where he was well regarded and well respected among his colleagues.

Garry's memory will be forever held in the hearts of his surviving family: his wife Evelyn, his daughters Kerri (David) Schwartz and Emily (Jeff) Wolf, his grandchildren, Sam, Joey, Abby and Nikki, and his brother Bernie.
