Louis Perry Kasman, a resident of Ann Arbor, Michigan, died on February 8th, 2024 at the age of 76. Funeral services arranged by The Dorfman Chapel.
Lou served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was promoted to Specialist 5th Class (Sergeant) within 14 months. He served in the Entertainment Division, where he would MC - USO shows, host AFR programs, play-by-play sports announcing, and produce live shows. Lou held various executive positions, including Allied Air Freight in the Greater Chicago Area, and Sandy Corporation in Troy, Michigan. He owned and operated Marketing/Management Associates, LLC. for over two decades. Lou was a Radio Personality on WAPC, WAAM and WLBY and worked with six Detroit based radio properties for CBS. Lou was a long-time member of the Friar’s Club in New York City. He earned many awards over the years, to which he was very proud.
Lou was an avid reader and loved rodeos, horses and the Brooklyn Dodgers; as well as his beloved Jack Russell Terrier named Duke.
Lou is survived by his son, Matthew Kasman; his brother, Neil Kasman; nephew, Dr. David Staffenberg; nieces, Elise (Staffenberg) Busny, Meryl (Staffenberg) Laurenzano and Jessica (Kasman) Kirsch; and mother of his son, Kathleen Finley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elias and Florence Kasman; sister, Sheila (Kasman) Staffenberg. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Eugene Staffenberg.
