In lieu of flowers, the family would like to support the work of Harvey’s late brother, Laurence Schneider. He founded and ran North Cottage Program, a substance addiction treatment facility in Norton, Massachusetts for 50 years.

Harvey (Chaim) Schneider passed away on December 17th, 2023 at the age of 89. Harvey leaves behind a legacy of dedication, resilience, and a passion for both his professional pursuits and personal interests. A Boston native, Harvey earned his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and followed by a Master's degree from San Jose State University. After serving in the Marines, he embarked on a successful career contributing to various projects at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory in California, Turner Construction, Johns Manville, Barton Malow Construction, and Albert Kahn Associates.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Harvey cherished his role as a devoted husband to Ortrud Schneider and a loving father to Deborah (Martin Rosenau) Schneider, Michele (James) Mathieson, Holly (Curt) Nielsen, and Dale (Victoria) Schneider. His legacy extends to his grandchildren, Alexander (Kirsten Corneliussen) Rosenau, Allison (Thomas James) Hext, Jesse Mathieson, Maggie (Carter Kinsey) Mathieson, Stefan Nielsen, Nicole Nielsen, Gabriela Nielsen, Lillian Schneider, and Lucas Schneider, as well as his great-grandson, Ralph Kinsey.
