Family Members:

Jeffrey Louis Peterman passed away on March 23, 2023 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was surrounded by loved ones who will continue his legacy by living life to their fullest and appreciating the small things.

Jeff was born on December 23, 1954 in Detroit and graduated from Birmingham Groves High School in 1973. He went on to Michigan State University and was a member of Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and had a full career for 30 plus years. When he retired, he was the Media Director at Jeckyl + Hyde Labs.

In 2020, he reconnected with his high school sweetheart Char and they were married on May 23, 2021. They made a beautiful home with a house full of animals. There was always music, singing, and laughter. From spring to fall you could find Jeff in the garden tending to his flowers and vegetables.

Jeff was preceded in in death by his parents Nathan and Beverly Peterman.

Jeff is survived by his wife Charlene Canvasser Brooks; Father to Daniel (Amanda) Peterman,Grandpa to their children Eli and Henry Peterman, Brother to Michael (Lori) Peterman and Cathy (Mark) Segel; Uncle to Joshua Segel, Rebecca Segel, Amanda (Jonathan) Roffe, Jack (Fiancé Ally) Peterman, and Aaron Radner; Step-father to Charlene’s kids Zach and Aaron (Fiancé Abby) Brooks. The family appreciates Donna Scherer and Caryn Melotti for their loving care over these last few months.
