Emily Meredith Weitz, a resident of Royal Oak, Michigan, died on April 26th, 2021 at the age of 35. Funeral services arranged by The Dorfman Chapel.

Family Members:

She is survived by her mother and father, Sara and Edwin; brother, sister-in-law and niece Michael, Maddi and Aiyla; and a loving set of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Emily loved to travel from a young age including summer camps in Brazil and Sweden, backpacking through Europe for three months by herself in her college years (against the advice of her family!) and most recently a girls trip to Portugal with her mother in 2019 just prior to Covid.

Outside of family and friends, she loved nothing more than her three cats including her dear Bot Bot. She regularly volunteered at the Humane Society and was a strong advocate for pet adoption. Emily was a long time vegan before most people knew what that meant and ensured that any birthday or Chanukah presents did not include any leather products. What many people do not know about Emily, is that she was a Presidential Scholar at Oakland University and was fluent in Spanish.
