Holly Nemoff Hoover, a resident of Niceville, Florida (formerly of Oak Park), died on February 1st, 2021 at the age of 63. Funeral services arranged by The Dorfman Chapel.

Charitable contributions:
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Holly’s name to a Rescue or shelter of your choice. Her favored organizations in her area were: Animal Protection League, S.O.C.K.S (Save Our Cats and Kittens) and Alaqua Animal Rescue. Donations may also be made to The Lupus Foundation to honor Holly’s lifelong battle with Lupus.  
Family Members:
Holly Ann Hoover, of Niceville, FL, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away unexpectedly on February 1st, 2021 at the age of 63 from COVID-related complications. Holly was born Holly Ann Nemoff, January 20th, 1958. Holly grew up in Oak Park andgraduated from Oak Park High. She married her high school sweetheart, Ron Hoover, in 1978. They then began their military life together and a beautiful 42 years of marriage. Her passion for helping others led her to enroll in South Plains College in Levelland, Texas where she obtained her Nursing degree and became a Registered Nurse. Holly and Ron settled in Niceville, FL where Ron retired from the military in 1997.

Those who knew Holly knew her for her compassion, selflessness, openness, and strength. Whether it was her work as an RN at Plew Elementary, Okaloosa County Health Department, or her many years with Animal Protection League, she was devoted to helping, healing, loving and educating others.Holly cared for every person and animal that needed her while simultaneously providing a stable, loving, and supportive home for her husband and their two children.

Throughout her life Holly volunteered, rescued, and donated towards the care of hundreds of animals in the county as well as larger organizations such as the ASPCA. She never turned away from animals in need. She also fostered, adopted, and cared for hundreds of animals, enriching every life she encountered.

Holly is survived by her husband Ron; their children, Lauren Shold (Kristopher), and Dylan; her granddaughter Amelia Shold; her sisters, Beth Nemoff and Peggy Nemoff (Mike Potter); and nieces, nephews and cousins. Holly was preceded in death by her parents, Alex Nemoff and Bunnnie (Cooper-Nemoff) Ashley (Larry). She will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a light in everyone’s life and a true superhero.
