Family Members:
Berton Roy Moed, MD, age 70, of St. Louis, Missouri, and a former resident of Huntington Woods, died on October 22, 2020. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 9, 1950. Beloved husband of Jill Moed; dear father of Lisa Moed Gruson, MD (Konrad Gruson MD) and Rebecca Moed Tantillo, Esq. (Chris Tantillo); cherished grandfather of Anna and Michael Gruson and Gabriel Tantillo; dear brother of George (Judi) Moed, and Paulette Moed; dear brother-in-law of Paula Zaks (Dan) Stein, John (Terry) Steinberger and Joe (Rebecca) Steinberger. He was the son of the late Charles and Frances Moed, and the son-in-law of the late Dr. Eugene and Sylvia Steinberger. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Roy was a Professor and former Chairman in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He previously held positions at Wayne State University, University of Toronto, and the University of Michigan. A graduate of the University of Michigan and Saint Louis University School of Medicine, Roy also achieved the rank of Lieutenant in the United States Navy. Roy achieved numerous honors, awards and professional recognition. He participated in numerous named lectureships and had a distinguished publishing record. He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, professional achievements and his sly sense of humor. He had a full, successful life and will be sorely missed.
