Family Members:

Dr. Jerome Kaufman, 91, of Bloomfield Hills, MI, passed peacefully at his home on June 21, 2020. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Samuel and Libby Kaufman and sister, Fredelyn Kanter. He leaves behind a loving family of four daughters, Lisa (Larry) Kaplan, Robin (Stephen) Stratton, Jody (Ron) Benishay, and Tracey (Mitch) Grossbach; nine grandchildren: Benjamin Kaplan, Rachel (Vadim) Avshalumov, Samantha Stratton, Maxwell Stratton, Carmelle Benishay, Elana Benishay, Jonathan Benishay, Ethan Grossbach and Sadie Grossbach; great-granddaughter Sonia Avshalumov, niece Lauren (Jeff) Miller and nephew Jeffrey (Joyce) Kanter. Jerry will also be remembered fondly by his former wives, Suzanne Curtis and Mindy Soble Greenberg. Beyond a successful career in ophthalmology, Jerry lived a life dedicated to Judaism, Zionism and the State of Israel. Nothing gave him greater joy and happiness than time spent with his family.
