- Marvin was born in Detroit Michigan in 1935 to Frieda and Hyman Milinsky. He grew up in the Detroit area. He graduated from Central High School and Wayne State University School of Pharmacy. Marvin served in the Army as a pharmacist in Korea after the Korean War ended. Upon his return to the United States he worked as a pharmacist at several hospitals; Detroit Receiving, Brent and Henry Ford. He also worked for his beloved uncle, the late Larry Kowalsky at Allen Park Drugs in Allen Park, Michigan. Marvin had a fantastic knowledge and memory for scientific facts. His ecclectic interests included all gadgets big and small, computers, music, trivia, current events, reading, Jewish history, short wave radio, espionage, jokes, riddles and puns. As a resident of Fleischman Assisted Living for the past six and one-half years he enjoyed many of the planned programs. His life there was enriched by opportunities to participate and be part of the community. Holiday dinners were especially meaningful to him. Marvin enjoyed sharing his interest and knowledge with staff and residents. Unfortunately, Marvin succumbed to Covid-19. Marvin is survived by his sister and brother in law, Linda and Jay Schwarzberg, his sister-in-law Rhoda Milan. He was the brother of the late Sol Milan. He is also survived by beloved nephews and nieces, Mitchell and Jill Milan, Stuart and Courtney Milan, Gary Milan, Leslie Gruber, Jennifer and Neil Enciso, Lauren Gruber and the late Roy Maddock, Isa Schwarzberg, Mark Weinstock and Abbie Telnoff.
