Family Members:

Lawrence H Goldberg, one of Detroit’s greatest characters, passed away March 28th at the age 75. Born in Detroit in 1944, Larry was the youngest of 3 children of Harry and Jessie Goldberg (nee Michaelson). A graduate of Detroit Mumford, Larry served in the U.S. Navy, stationed in Washington D.C. After that, he returned to Detroit, earning bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University and a Master’s Degree from Central Michigan University. He retired from Chrysler Corporation and moved to sunny Arizona to play golf and tell jokes. A funny, honest, and caring man, his extended family includes many loving friends whom he treasured. Larry was preceded in death by his sister Millicent and is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Cathrine, Sister Adrienne Guss (Sanford), his son, David Goldberg and his granddaughter Ava Goldberg.
