Family Members:

Lee Alpern passed away on October 27, 2018 at 89 and a half years old. He was born in Bay City, MI to Ruth and Harry Alpern. He leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Ann (Annie) Rogin Alpern; six children: Michael Alpern (Susie Friedman), Sheryl Alpern, Steven Alpern (Janet Alpern), Debi Farber-Bush (Briar Bush), Jimmy Farber (Pam Smith), and Kim Filips; grandchildren: Miranda Money (Brian Money), David and Jackie Alpern, Aaron Lamb, Blake and Evan Farber, and Karli and Andy Filips; great-granddaughter, Josie Money; brother-in-law of the late Ken Rogin; cousins Pat and Jerry Katchman, Barb and Irwin Alpern, and Marsha and Joel Resnick; nieces Jennifer Rogin-Marks and Lisa Rogin; great nephews Samuel and Nathan Marks. Lee was a very well-loved teacher at Thurston High School in South Redford. He opened Lee Driving School 50 years ago, and it is still thriving today. Lee is thankful for the companionship of his dog, Joey, and his caretakers, Darryl Fuller and Deno Daily.
