We hope you can easily find the information you are looking for on our site and that the navigation is intuitive. Our site is responsive to various screen sizes so it is mobile device friendly.

The top of the page- The top of each page has the name of the chapel and a drop down menu to the various pages of the site. If you click/touch in the area of the name you will be taken to the home page of the website. Next to the chapel name is the primary menu bar that takes you to the various sections of our site. Using your mouse to hover (or tapping once for touch screens) on a primany menu subject will drop down a submenu bar containing links to more sections relating to the selected primary menu. Select the subsection of interest. If you browser does not support drop down menus you can select the primary menu subject and you will be taken to a menu page that lists the drop down subjects.

Primary Menu bar options- Here is some more information on the sections of our site available from the primary menu bar:

Funeral Notices- This section gives a list of the people for whom The Dorfman Chapel made arrangements. This list includes upcoming arrangements and arrangements in the last 30 days. Services that are today or tomorrow are highlighted. The page gives the name of the deceased, the date of death, and the scheduled service date. From this page you can select the person of interest and you will be taken to a page giving information on the person's age at death, city of residence, service times and places, including a map to the cemetery if applicable, family members, charitable contribution information, shiva information (and map if applicable), and officiating clergy. There is also a facility for you to send an email condolence. We also include a function that will list the yahrzeit dates for the next 10 years, and the ability to sign up for an annual email reminder of the yahrzeit. And for those funerals that have already taken place and were recorded, an ability to listen to the service online. This section also links to a map/directions to the chapel and our various notification services.

Our Facility- This section gives information about why the chapel exists and some of the features and advantages of using our facility. Informaion about the owners, the location and map, contact information, photos of the chapel, this page you are reading which gives an overview of the layout and main sections of this website, and information on our privacy policy are available.

Services Offered- This section details the various services available that The Dorfman Chapel offers (eg chapel services, graveside services, after care services, etc), notification/reminder services, pre-arrangement contracts, our various community services, information and links on various grief resources available to help cope with the loss of a loved one, information on Jewish terms and customs, a checklist of things to do after a death, and the ability to make a payment to us online.

The images below the menu bar- The images below the menu bar on the website comes from the magnificent stained glass window central to our chapel, and other areas of the chapel. For more information on the glass see our Chapel Tour #3.

The bottom of the page- The bottom of each page lists the chapel address and phone numbers. You can click/touch on the address to be taken to a page giving a map and directions to the chapel.
